Alkami TechnologyBentonville, AR
$130,000 - $165,000Remote

About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer will drive efforts and contribute to building software systems on Alkami's Account Experience team — the core UI layer powering Alkami's Online Banking (OLB) platform. This is an emerging team with a front-end-leaning charter: owning the My Accounts widget, landing page experiences, and micro-experiences that drive direct user engagement across Alkami's multi-tenant environment. We're looking for demonstrated, deep technical domain knowledge including apps, services, systems, or frameworks. A key strategic player involved in maintenance of product features, including on-call escalations, triaging, and resolution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience; or 3 years with an advanced degree
  • True full-stack capability with a front-end preference — approximately 75% FE / 25% BE service-level work
  • Strong proficiency in Vue.js (primary); React or Angular also acceptable - should genuinely be comfortable with front-end work
  • Proficiency in C#/.NET for service-level backend code
  • Experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL
  • In-depth understanding of the full software development lifecycle (design, development, deployment)
  • Experience developing and deploying applications on cloud-native infrastructure
  • Strong experience with REST API best practices — security, scalability, performance
  • Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases, caching strategies, and data structure design
  • Proficiency with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage modern AI tooling in day-to-day engineering workflows
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation to support Alkami's customers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fintech or banking (deposits, CD accounts, treasury management, or similar financial domain knowledge strongly preferred)
  • Experience with SaaS offerings in the technology and financial services industries
  • Experience building and deploying on AWS using Kubernetes
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry
  • Experience with cross-platform mobile frameworks such as Flutter

Responsibilities

  • Lead code/design reviews to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate planning
  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, with a focus on front-end coding, debugging, and UI performance
  • Write clean, reusable code for functional, high-quality web applications within a multi-tenant SaaS environment
  • Advanced troubleshooting and debugging across FE and service-level code
  • Perform UI tests to optimize performance and user experience
  • Liaise with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify and deliver new front-end features
  • Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve and modernize legacy applications (e.g. migration from Knockout to Vue.js)
  • Build reusable component libraries and front-end frameworks for future use
  • Provide mentoring and technical support to junior engineers
  • Respond promptly to on-call incidents, including troubleshooting and resolving critical disruptions
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers and vendors
  • Champion an API-first approach, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and extensibility
  • Applies AI-assisted workflows to enhance productivity in code generation, testing, and refactoring

Benefits

  • remote-first environment
  • unlimited paid time off
  • 401(k) with employer match
