The Sr Software Engineer (iOS) will be part of an iconic brand revolutionizing the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, maintaining, and releasing iOS applications. The role involves driving the technical architecture and implementation of mobile platforms from the ground up, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to team knowledge growth through pair programming, code reviews, presentations, and documentation, while implementing programming best practices, deployment processes, and monitoring for mobile platforms. Staying current with emerging mobile development technologies and advocating for new tools and techniques is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering shipping customer facing applications on iOS.
  • Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
  • Solid understanding of mobile platform architecture, UI/UX design principles and frameworks, GraphQL, mobile security and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps, and mobile release processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience operating in start-up settings, launching 0 to 1 product, and driving graduation to highly customized applications.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for mobile technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building systems in the automotive industry, or experience working on IoT devices
  • Experience with mobile app testing, experimentation frameworks and automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Help design, develop, maintain, and release our iOS applications.
  • Drive the technical architecture and implementation of mobile platform and solutions from the ground up, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and performant.
  • Grow the knowledge of the team, sharing through pair programming, code reviews, presentations, example code, and documentation.
  • Implement programming best practices, deployment processes and monitoring for mobile platforms.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in mobile development, advocating for the adoption of new tools and techniques as appropriate.
