About The Position

As a Sr Software Eng Manager at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead and manage software engineering teams developing aerospace software solutions. You will oversee complex software projects, align delivery with business objectives and customer requirements, and advance aerospace technologies through effective software development processes, innovation, and high-quality deliverables that meet aerospace industry standards. You will report directly to senior leadership and work from the Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid schedule. People leaders are expected to recruit and develop talent, identify successors, support retention and engagement, and foster an inclusive culture.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
Minimum 6 years of experience in software engineering management, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
Strong expertise in the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and project management.
Proficiency with programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
Experience with embedded systems software development.
Experience with aerospace software standards such as DO-178C and knowledge of safety-critical software development practices.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined for compliance with U.S. export control laws, or have the ability to obtain export authorization.

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience leading large, distributed software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
Knowledge of model-based design and verification tools.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and DevOps practices.
