About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technician to support work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The selected candidate will join the Corrective Maintenance section and support the creation, development, and maintenance of Electronic One Function Diagrams. Accuracy, integrity, subject matter expertise, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are important traits for this role. The position produces electrical and electronic drawings of Strategic Weapon System equipment at the system and subsystem levels using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Work includes extracting coordinated signals from blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions; applying electrical and electronic theory to design and author circuits; coding diagram wires in varied colors for signal tracing; and creating diagram-to-diagram and dataset-to-dataset hyperlinks used in troubleshooting equipment and equipment interfaces. The employee collaborates virtually with technical teams to resolve electrical theory and engineering drawing standard-practice issues, and reviews electrical and engineering alterations to identify revisions, deletions, or amendments needed for existing diagrams. The position is available in Rockville, Maryland; Cape Canaveral, Florida; or King's Bay, Georgia. The selected candidate must reside in one of these locations or be willing to relocate there at their own expense.
