CVS Pharmacy Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Sr. Software Development Engineer to design and develop digital software applications and platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • Five (5) years of experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps
  • Five (5) years of experience with Java, Python, or Node.js
  • Five (5) years of experience with XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
  • Five (5) years of experience with Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles
  • Five (5) years of experience with REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs
  • Five (5) years of experience with Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Hbase, Pig, MySQL, or NoSQL
  • Five (5) years of experience with Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting
  • Five (5) years of experience with Oracle
  • Five (5) years of experience Writing application code and deploying to production
  • Five (5) years of experience Developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions
  • Five (5) years of experience Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements
  • Determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation
  • Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing
  • Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices
  • Mentor junior team members
