CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Sr. Software Development Engineer to Design and develop software applications and platforms to support digital strategies and solutions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
- Two (2) years of experience in Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles
- Two (2) years of experience in Machine learning, statistical analysis, or predictive modeling
- Two (2) years of experience in Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Two (2) years of experience in Writing application code and deploying to production
- Two (2) years of experience in Developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions
- Two (2) years of experience in Relational database concepts
- Two (2) years of experience in Software development best practices
- Two (2) years of experience in Contributing to large-scale applications development, data science, or data analytics projects
- Two (2) years of experience in Data analytics on large data sets in healthcare, business, or retail sector
- Two (2) years of experience in Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes
- Two (2) years of experience in Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases
- Two (2) years of experience in Developing data and analytics-based platform capabilities, services, or products
Responsibilities
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements
- Determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation
- Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing
- Develop and deploy application components and support unit testing and bug fixes
- Participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD
- Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices
- Mentor junior team members
