The company is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join its Manufacturing and Supply Chain group. This role involves building next-generation solutions for Petrochemical companies to optimize their value chain. The Senior Software Developer will collaborate with Product Management and Product Designers to design and develop new features. Strong software development knowledge and an understanding of modeling and optimization principles are essential. Working knowledge of refinery and petrochemical processes, as well as supply chain and distribution modeling, are also useful skills. Requirements

BS in Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
5-8 years of experience in the development of software for modeling, control and optimization of chemicals, oil & gas, and/or refining processes.
Strong background in numerical methods, mathematical modeling, and optimization.
Solid computer programming and software development experience, with specific experience in C#/.NET.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
English fluency (written and verbal) required.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree is helpful, PhD preferred
Experience with C++ is a plus

Responsibilities

Investigate new and developing modeling and optimization technologies as they appear in industry and academia and determine how to leverage these new technologies into our software applications.
Provide technical leadership for software development projects related to mathematical modeling and optimization.
Design, develop, maintain, and support new and existing engineering software applications.
Actively contribute to technical and functional design sessions.
Provide creative solutions when dealing with technology challenges.
Participating in the maintenance and enhancement of the existing code bases.
Provide technical support to product management, product marketing, services, and customer support on customer activities.
