About The Position

Founded in 2017, TripArc is a $750 million privately held company that powers top Travel Agencies and Tour Operators in North America. Their network enables seamless access to a comprehensive range of global travel options and services, processing over $750 million in transactions annually at industry-best rates. As an industry leader in technology, purchasing, finance, HR, and marketing, TripArc delivers effective solutions to travel professionals, leveraging deep experience with luxury travel brands like Kensington Tours and Travel Edge. TripArc's goal is to enhance the profitability and efficiency of its network of over 1400 travel entities, helping them create unique travel experiences for clients. This role is a Work-from-Home opportunity for applicants outside the commutable range of the Toronto office; local applicants will work in a hybrid model with 2 days a week onsite. The ADX platform is TripArc's daily booking tool for thousands of North American travel advisors. This Senior Front-End Application Developer position focuses on enhancing the existing ADX platform, making it faster, more reliable, and more responsive. The ideal candidate combines architectural thinking with a UX designer’s mindset, passionate about building elegant, scalable, and high-performance user experiences. The work is varied, involving tasks from untangling payment flows to building service upgrade capabilities and improving feature behavior under load. Developers are expected to investigate problems, propose solutions, scope their own work in collaboration with Product and QA, and ship code that directly impacts advisors.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience developing single-page applications (SPAs) in production environments
  • SQL Server fluency: complex queries, stored procedures, schema navigation in a system built over the years
  • Deep expertise in Angular, TypeScript, and MFE architecture.
  • Proven fluency in modern CSS (SCSS, CSS variables, responsive design systems, and Material Design 3 / custom design tokens).
  • Proficiency in Figma, from design handoff and prototyping to systemized component creation, and hands-on experience with Figma Make or similar automation tooling.
  • Solid understanding of front-end architecture, state management, and performance optimization in large-scale web applications.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comfort working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, QA, and Backend).
  • Comfort working in a mature, high-volume platform where changes have real downstream effects
  • Uses AI development tools — Copilot, Claude, etc. — as standard workflow, not novelty
  • Self-starter, problem solver who thinks like a designer and codes like an engineer and finds satisfaction in clean, well-scoped delivery.
  • Ability to find the interesting problem inside the practical request and solve it properly.

Nice To Haves

  • React
  • Next.js
  • MongoDB
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • Azure Pipelines
  • NServiceBus
  • .NET APIs
  • Azure DevOps

Responsibilities

  • Advisor-facing feature enhancements across existing ADX — payment workflows, service configuration, quoting and booking improvements
  • Design, architect, and build high-quality, scalable front-end applications using Angular, React, and Next.js, integrated with modern APIs.
  • Frontend contributions: Angular components and workflows within the existing ADX MFE shell
  • Bring a strong UX and design systems perspective, collaborating with design partners to translate high-fidelity Figma prototypes (and Figma Make workflows) into performant, accessible, and responsive experiences.
  • Push CSS to its limits — from advanced layout techniques and animations to custom design tokens and theming — creating a best-in-class, maintainable UI foundation.
  • Work closely with architects and product managers to plan, estimate, and deliver high-impact features and platform improvements.
  • Define and enforce front-end best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools that enhance developer productivity, performance, and design collaboration.
  • Platform reliability and supportability — fixing what's brittle, documenting what's unclear, improving what slows the team down
  • Cross-platform integrations: working across ADX, TSP, and connected services to deliver features that span the stack
  • Sprint-based delivery with direct input on scope and estimates — you'll help define what's buildable, not just execute what's handed to you
  • Investigate problems, propose solutions, scope own work in collaboration with Product and QA, and ship.
  • Use AI coding tools — GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, whatever fits your flow — as a standard part of how you develop.
  • Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Keep documentation honest.
  • Take pride in shipping things that hold up.
  • Collaborate without being dependent; ask when stuck and help teammates.
  • Treat code reviews as a craft conversation, not a gatekeeping exercise.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach.
  • Opportunity to participate in incentive programs and compensation tied to business and individual performance.
  • Employment accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
