About The Position

The Sr Shipper is responsible for order picking, ensuring order accuracy and fulfillment within cut-off times. This role involves following company procedures, maintaining equipment, monitoring inventory, promoting safety, training new employees, adhering to cold chain procedures, and managing finished goods to ensure timely shipment. The Sr Shipper will also oversee special orders and maintain inventory levels in collaboration with sales and production teams.

Requirements

Experience with order picking and ensuring order accuracy
Knowledge of company start up procedures and equipment checks
Ability to monitor and record temperature levels
Understanding of cold chain procedures
Familiarity with FIFO protocol
Ability to train new employees

Nice To Haves

Experience with inventory discrepancies and correction
Knowledge of safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
Experience working with sales and production teams

Responsibilities

Order picking, ensuring all order accuracy and fulfillment is met within cut off times
Reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the sales team
Following and completing all company start up procedures and documents, ensuring equipment is fit for service
Informing maintenance of all breakdowns/faulty equipment related to any piece of equipment in Shipping
Completing monthly fresh and frozen warehouse scans, correcting and following up on any inventory discrepancies with Shipping Coordinator
Ensuring and promoting compliance to company safety guidelines as well as policies and procedures
Training new shipping employees and developing them to meet their potential
Adhering to cold chain procedures, monitoring & recording temperature levels and following up with actions to remedy when issues arise
Ownership of all finished goods on-site, ensuring that product is organized and shipped on time
Overseeing and organizing special orders to ensure they are completed and delivered on time
Following FIFO protocol to minimize spoilage and loss of product
Maintaining inventory levels, working with both the sales and production teams to generate optimum product flow
