About The Position

The Sr. Security Lead – DC plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure working environment within the Distribution Center. This position supports the development of a strong safety and security culture by coaching, training, and guiding team members on security protocols and safe work practices. The Sr. Security Lead – DC also assists in executing corporate safety and security initiatives as directed by the Regional Safety Manager.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of the Regional Safety Manager, plan, direct, and implement security programs to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant work environment in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Partner with the Regional Safety Manager to establish security goals, support onboarding of new team members, and assist in the execution of the site's Security Action Plan and other safety and security initiatives.
• Facilitate security training sessions and coach team members on daily security protocols and safe work practices.
• Conduct Security New Hire Orientations in collaboration with Human Resources and Operations.
• Assist in facilitating monthly Safety Committee meetings and participate in daily business meetings with Operations and leadership.
• Organize post-incident review meetings with leadership as needed.
• Conduct facility and department audits to ensure compliance with security programs, safety initiatives, and company policies.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the Workplace Management System and utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to support daily operations.
• Communicate positively and proactively with Operations, peers, leadership, visitors, and vendors to promote a culture of safety, security, and professionalism.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and leadership training opportunities.
• Lead by example, consistently modeling a "Safety First" mindset while maintaining the highest standards of facility security.
• Promote accountability by ensuring adherence to all safety, security, and company policies and procedures across the team.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn various areas of the distribution center and adjust work schedules as needed to meet business demands (including early/late/off shifts and other departments).
• Develop and manage security staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage based on operational needs.
• Work independently with minimal supervision; must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Perform other duties as assigned. This list reflects primary responsibilities but is not all-inclusive; additional duties may be required based on departmental or business needs.
