About The Position
The Senior Scientist – Chemistry R&D is an experienced, hands-on synthetic organic chemist who designs and executes small-molecule synthesis for customer custom-synthesis projects, FTE (full-time-equivalent) contracts, and internal research and development programs. The role supports Hongene's chemistry business by delivering high-quality compounds on schedule and by developing efficient, scalable synthetic routes. The Senior Scientist works independently on complex multi-step syntheses, takes technical ownership of assigned projects, and serves as a technical resource and mentor to less-experienced chemists. The position also contributes to the adoption of data-driven and high-throughput approaches to reaction screening and optimization.
