Sr. SAP S4 HANA Logistics LE SME with some (SD, MM and EWM Consultant- Hybrid travel
About The Position
Client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP S4 HANA Logistics consultant who is a LE Subject Matter Expert with some SD & MM experience. This role is based in the USA, preferably located near Chicago, IL area or Danville, IL and/or Waukesha, WI, requiring on-site travel to the latter two locations throughout the project as needed. You will be supporting the client's strategy, contributing to project success, and working with the SAP project team. The role involves two senior SAP functional consultants acting as local focal points with broader SAP experience in Finance and logistics to support the project locally from early June through the first monthly closing after go-live, approximately February, for about 9 months. Main activities include supporting SIT and UAT testing, cutover and hypercare, besides SAP Module implementation if needed (Functional Specifications, Adapt code, configurations, unit testing, documentation as required, etc.).
Requirements
- Minimum 8-12+ years in SAP Logistics focused (LE with some SD & MM) consulting in manufacturing sector.
- Strong functional expertise in logistics LE focused with also the usual logistics modules (SD, MM & EWM).
- Hands-on configuration experience is essential.
- Solid understanding of supply chain processes is required.
- Strong functional expertise in Logistics focused (LE with some SD & MM) consulting in manufacturing sector.
- Working knowledge of cross-functional integration.
- Hands-on configuration experience in SAP S/4HANA.
- Previous experience supporting implementations.
- Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation abilities.
- Ability to work in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
Nice To Haves
- SAP Certified Application Associate – Strong background in Logistics and Supply Chain with SAP S/4HANA.
- Previous experience in large-scale Automotive, steel or manufacturing sector services SAP.
Responsibilities
- Design and configure solutions in one or more S/4HANA Logistics modules.
- Lead workshops to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in live systems.
- Prepare functional specifications and work with ABAP teams for enhancements, user exits, and custom reports.
- Lead unit, integration, and UAT testing for Logistics (SD, MM & LE) plus various components.
- Ensure compliance with logistics "Best Practices" on global project.
- Provide post-go-live support and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
