About The Position

The purpose of the role is to design, develop, and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. This involves the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives. It also includes collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. Staying informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contributing to the organization’s technology communities are also key aspects. Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data, along with the implementation of effective unit testing practices for proper code design, readability, and reliability, are essential. The position also involves advising and influencing decision-making, contributing to policy development, and taking responsibility for operational effectiveness. For individuals with leadership responsibilities, this includes leading a team, setting objectives, coaching employees, and appraising performance. For individual contributors, it involves leading collaborative assignments, guiding team members, identifying the need for other specializations, and identifying new directions for assignments or projects. The role also requires consulting on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders, identifying ways to mitigate risk, developing new policies/procedures, and taking ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls. It involves performing work closely related to other areas, understanding how areas coordinate, and collaborating with other areas for business-aligned support. Engaging in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively, and communicating complex information, including sensitive or difficult-to-communicate information, to influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes are also expected. Requirements

Design, develop and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for Barclays customers and colleagues.
Work on the overall design, development, delivery, and maintenance of Salesforce.com applications.
Work closely with a local team and global counterparts to deliver various software solutions built on Salesforce in an agile development environment.
Create and ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Handle the design and delivery of Salesforce solutions for CRM.
