Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and experience with ERP and revenue recognition software (e.g., RevPro, Netsuite, RecVue).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contracts and financial data.
  • Experience with billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret revenue contracts to assess appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606 guidelines.
  • Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to ensure alignment on revenue recognition policies.
  • Process revenue allocation and recognition in revenue software tool.
  • Manage billing and collection processes.
  • Prepare monthly revenue-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Lead data analysis projects related to revenue recognition, billing, collections, discount, etc.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline revenue accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
