About The Position

WebMD is seeking a Senior Researcher to design, conduct, and present real-world studies focused on evaluating scientific content interventions. This role involves acting as a scientific and strategic execution lead, serving as an internal and external research consultant, a client-facing expert, and a liaison between data and business strategy. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment where their work directly influences significant business decisions.

Requirements

Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field.
3–5+ years of applied research experience using large-scale healthcare claims databases.
Deep knowledge of study design, specifically matching methodologies and bias mitigation in observational data.
Expertise in study protocol development.
Statistical modeling expertise with hands-on experience using SAS, R, or Python.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to write persuasive technical sections for proposals.
Ability to translate complex applied research results into valuable insights for clients.

Responsibilities

Partner with internal Analytics and Data Science teams, clinical strategists, and Medical Science Directors (MSDs) to develop robust study protocols.
Lead the methods section for business proposals, ensuring the technical approach is scientifically sound and commercially compelling.
Design and execute (or supervise) end-to-end observational studies using healthcare claims data and first-party engagement and behavioral data, with expertise in retrospective pre-post matched comparison designs.
Translate complex statistical outputs into succinct, high-level reports for internal stakeholders and clients, including collaborative client-presentation responsibilities.
Manage communication with internal leadership, sales, and project teams to ensure projects stay on track in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
