The University of Pennsylvania, a world-renowned leader in education, research, and innovation, is seeking a Sr. Research Investigator to engage in bioinformatics research projects in biomedicine. This role involves both collaborative work and leading research initiatives within a lab that supports diverse projects in transcriptomics, proteomics, and functional genomics. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the analysis, interpretation, and publication of research findings, with a particular emphasis on candidates possessing strong quantitative and computational backgrounds. Prior bioinformatics experience is expected, and while experience in circadian biology, benchmarking, and data simulation are considered a plus, the ability to think deeply and learn new domains quickly is highly valued. The role requires contributing to manuscripts, presenting work clearly to diverse audiences, and demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills within an intellectually rigorous and highly collaborative group. Candidates should be comfortable tackling complex technical problems, taking ownership of their work, and continuously enhancing their skill set. This position is contingent upon continued funding.
