About The Position

LSB Industries, Inc. is a chemical manufacturer serving agricultural, mining, and industrial markets. The company is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join their team in Pryor, OK. This role reports to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager and is responsible for enhancing site reliability performance. The engineer will lead reliability governance, asset strategy development, defect elimination, bad actor management, reliability analytics, and predictive maintenance programs. The goal is to convert equipment risks and failure trends into prioritized improvement plans with clear ownership and measurable results. This position requires close collaboration with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and corporate reliability resources to improve equipment availability, production stability, process safety, maintainability, lifecycle cost, and long-term asset performance within the chemical processing facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related Engineering or technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO 55000 and ISO 14224 a plus
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) a plus
  • Prior experience in the fertilizer industry (ammonia, urea, nitric acid) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Training and knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, tribology, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement detailed solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Process Safety Management experience with Management of Change or MOC and Pre-Startup Safety Review or PSSR is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written within multiple levels of the organization and with customers.
  • Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.
  • Experience with performing reliability predictions.
  • Experience with the FMECA (failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis) process
  • Diagnostic/Maintainability analysis experience
  • The ability to lead and manage the Reliability/Maintainability Engineering scope (technical, schedule, financial)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site reliability excellence activities, including reliability governance routines, annual reliability objectives, reliability standards, sustainability assessments, best-practice deployment, and visible KPI reporting.
  • Own and improve the site defect elimination process, including bad actor identification, quantification, prioritization, RCA governance, corrective-action tracking, escalation of overdue actions, and verification of action effectiveness.
  • Develop and govern asset reliability strategies, including asset criticality, RCM/FMECA, PM optimization, reverse RCM, condition-based maintenance, predictive maintenance strategies, and documented asset tactics.
  • Govern predictive maintenance and reliability analytics programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, lubrication analysis, motor testing, online monitoring, Power BI dashboards, KPI definitions, data quality, and work generation from alerts.
  • Provide technical reliability leadership for rotating and electrical equipment, support failure investigations, recommend equipment upgrades, and partner with Maintenance and Operations to reduce chronic failures and improve process stability.
  • Support capital projects, M&R improvements, and reliability-build deliverables to ensure new or modified assets are maintainable, reliable, aligned with site standards, and supported by appropriate critical spares and lifecycle-cost considerations.
