About The Position

The Senior Regional Vice President (SRVP), Clinical Services is responsible for the execution of established clinical and business strategies across assigned regions and autism service lines. This role focuses on short‑ to mid‑term operational planning and performance, ensuring services are delivered consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with enterprise standards. The Senior RVP leads multiple teams through directors and managers and is accountable for translating enterprise direction into regional operational plans, performance outcomes, and service delivery results, while ensuring compliance with approved clinical, financial, and operational frameworks. The position ensures clinical quality, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and strategic growth across Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, interdisciplinary assessment services, caregiver consultation, and clinical consultation offerings. The role partners closely with internal leaders, provider network, funding sources, and community stakeholders to advance access, innovation, and outcomes for individuals with autism and their families. The Senior RVP is authorized to make decisions related to regional operations, performance management, and issue resolution within established enterprise clinical standards, policies, and financial parameters to support ESSC’s mission, values, and commitment to person‑centered care.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with a concentration in early childhood education/development, early childhood special education, psychology, speech, occupational or speech therapy, and additionally a directly related human services field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). CCC-SLP, or licensed Occupational Therapist, Doctoral-level BCBA, SLP/OT/PT.
  • 15 years of related professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and/or other related developmental disabilities in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • 7+ years in an advanced leadership capacity managing certified/clinical staff.
  • 5–7 years of experience with a proven track record in building interdisciplinary relationships to support service delivery.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams, strategic partnerships, and clinical operations in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Strong operational and financial acumen within healthcare or human services.
  • Ability to execute strategy and manage performance across multiple regions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex operational and service delivery challenges.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to support collaboration and service excellence.

  • Knowledge of community resources and agencies that serve children.
  • Familiar with funding source plan design.
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations related to behavioral health services and information management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and EHR software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California (ESSC) and/or program requirements.
  • Ability to travel throughout Southern California with reliable transportation, maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards, and have and maintain proper auto insurance and vehicle registration.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer medical examination and a TB test; and provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity.
  • Must pass all drug testing required by ESSC.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D., Ed.D., or clinical doctorate with emphasis in psychology, behavioral analysis, speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or public health administration, preferred.
  • Experience in delivery and management of behavioral health/clinical services within a multi-site medical model is preferred.
  • Expertise in empirically evaluated assessment and intervention strategies related to program and service delivery for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the long-term vision for in-home, in-center, and hybrid autism services, including ABA, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, functional assessments, caregiver consultation, and clinical consultation services.
  • Ensures alignment of clinical strategy across assessment, treatment, caregiver support, and consultation services to promote continuity of care and improved outcomes.
  • Executes enterprise defined clinical vision, standards, and approved models of care across assigned regions.
  • Operationalizes enterprise initiatives, priorities, and innovations at the regional level.
  • Owns regional performance outcomes related to access, capacity, productivity, timeliness, and service utilization.
  • Monitors and manages regional performance metrics and dashboards established at the enterprise level.
  • Identifies operational risks and performance gaps; partner with Clinical Operations to implement corrective actions.
  • Maintains accountability for regional financial performance, including staffing alignment, productivity, and cost controls.
  • Executes budget plans and financial targets established at the enterprise level.
  • Partners with finance and operations to address regional financial variances and operational inefficiencies.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops regional clinical leaders to ensure consistent execution of enterprise clinical standards, performance expectations, and models of care across assigned regions.
  • Ensures leaders and clinicians understand and apply enterprise clinical standards and expectations.
  • Supports clinician engagement, retention, professional development, and leadership readiness.
  • Addresses regional performance matters through coaching, performance management, and corrective action as appropriate.
  • Serves as the primary escalation point for regional operational and clinical issues.
  • Resolves participant, family, and payer concerns within enterprise policies and guidelines.
  • Escalates enterprise level clinical, policy, or systemic issues to the Vice President, Head of Clinical Services.
  • Identifies regional access barriers impacting evaluations, reassessments, and ongoing services.
  • Implements approved service expansions, pilots, and access initiatives within assigned regions.
  • Provides regional insight and feedback to enterprise leaders to inform future planning and innovation.
  • Represents the organization with regional referral partners, funders, and community stakeholders.
  • Supports enterprise initiatives related to payer relationships, regulatory interactions, and community partnerships at the regional level.
  • Ensures family and community feedback informs regional service improvement efforts.
  • Drives cultural and operational transformation through change management, data informed decision making, and cross functional collaboration.
  • Ensures alignment with organizational values, pillars of care, and pillars of experience across all clinical services.
  • Promotes clinician engagement, well-being, and sustainability - particularly for teams engaged in high acuity assessments and family facing consultation work.
