About The Position

This remote, full-time role is a key position responsible for reinforcing-steel estimating, detailing, preconstruction support, and development of the company’s estimating and detailing function. The successful candidate will serve as a technical resource for estimating, project management, and operations teams, while helping establish estimating standards, production rates, a historical cost database, and a reinforcing-steel preconstruction process. Periodic travel to project sites and company meetings is required. The candidate will independently review structural drawings and specifications, perform reinforcing-steel takeoffs, develop labor and material pricing, understand detailing requirements, identify constructability issues, and communicate project costs and risks to management. The role also supports project turnover, change-order pricing, field questions, and estimating process improvements. Over time, the successful candidate is expected to assume responsibility for the company’s reinforcing-steel estimating and detailing function. The strongest candidates have substantial hands-on reinforcing-steel industry experience, particularly with a fabricator, reinforcing contractor, placer, or major concrete contractor. A formal college degree is not required when the candidate has substantial relevant industry experience.
