About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to support the integration, test, and verification of high performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. The role involves applying advanced technologies and scientific principles to develop system solutions, supporting integration and test activities, evaluating test results, investigating discrepancies, providing technical assessments of anomalies, and driving issues to resolution. The engineer will also conduct system verification, support certification activities, represent the organization on contracts, and interface with internal and external customers, program and senior leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment and in hands-on laboratory or field settings. The position may require working non-standard shifts and travel domestically and internationally for site installs, checkout, and integration testing. This position requires a U.S. DoD Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent combined with minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience
  • Functional knowledge of radar systems, subsystems and components
  • Experience with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars
  • Experience in the integration and test of Solid State Radar systems
  • High proficiency in MATLAB, C++ or Python
  • Ability to perform data analysis
  • Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts as required by the supported program
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support site installs, checkout and integration testing
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent
  • Radar systems development experience including signal processing, algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling & simulation
  • Hands-on experience with RF systems or antenna testing including near-field and far-field measurement techniques
  • Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts, such as evenings, nights and/or weekends as required by the supported program highly desirable
  • Experience in Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Anti-Aircraft Warfare (AAW) concepts and design implementation
  • Technical leadership experience with program execution
  • Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with automated build and system development
  • Experience with managing pipelines across classification boundaries
  • Ability to deploy new technologies, educate others on their use and integrate them into workflows
