The Supplier Quality team lead, manages and monitors the performance, quality, and continuous improvement of our global supplier base. This role is critical in ensuring that suppliers meet our standards for quality, delivery, cost, and innovation, and will play a key role in supporting new product introductions and strategic sourcing projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a supplier or quality engineering role
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Quality or industrial engineering
  • Knowledge of and experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality management systems

Nice To Haves

  • Strong proficiency with problem-solving methods such as 8D, Fishbone diagram, 5 Whys etc.,
  • Proven competency in core quality tools such as Control plans, FMEA, Capability studies, Gage R&R, Gage correlation etc.,
  • Working knowledge of Advanced product quality planning and Production part approval process
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
  • Certified quality engineer or Six Sigma green belt

Responsibilities

  • Leading supplier assessments and audits to evaluate their manufacturing processes, quality systems, and capabilities
  • Working closely with suppliers to address quality issues, processing non-conformances and deviation requests.
  • Driving corrective and preventive actions and implementing robust development plans to enhance supplier performance.
  • Managing all aspects of the Production part approval process
  • Developing receiving inspection plans
