Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

Fieldpiece InstrumentsOrange, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

This role is for a hands-on Quality Assurance Engineer who will be embedded in development from day one and deeply involved from concept through validation, partnering closely with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet the highest standards before they reach the field. Fieldpiece is a thriving team of innovators, committed to pushing boundaries and celebrating curiosity, providing HVACR professionals with rugged, feature-rich tools since 1990. The company leads the industry in thinking, working, collaborating, and creating products that empower HVACR professionals. Fieldpiece is recognized as one of Southern California’s Best Places to Work (2023, 2024 & 2025), offering a Hire-to-Retire philosophy, hybrid work schedule, and a culture of curiosity where employees are supported to innovate boldly, grow continuously, and make a tangible impact. The company is currently based in Orange, CA, with a planned move to a new Tustin office in mid-2028. The ideal candidate is an engineer at heart who uses quality as a lever to build better products, not just test them. They should have a strong foundation in electro-mechanical systems and be comfortable working across hardware, firmware, and software, understanding their interactions and potential failure points. The candidate should be analytical, naturally curious, relentless about root cause, and possess the credibility to partner cross-functionally and the judgment to balance performance, reliability, and compliance at scale.
