Sr. QA (Playwright) Automation Engineer
About The Position
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will develop and maintain test scripts using relevant frameworks. You will automate test cases across multiple user roles, implement UI Automation using tools such as Playwright, and conduct peer reviews of your code. You will share test execution results and feedback every release cycle, lead test automation initiatives, and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes. The annual salary range for this position is $92,000.00-$153,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of Six (6) years of experience in quality assurance or testing for enterprise systems and application development.
- Bachelor’s degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least two (2) years of experience providing QA and testing support for AWS-based workloads.
- Proven ability to perform manual and automated testing, including defect documentation, reproduction, and validation.
- Strong expertise in test automation using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript), API testing, performance testing, and tools such as Swagger and Postman.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) integrated with AWS services (e.g., SSM, PostgreSQL).
- Demonstrated proficiency in testing workloads built with AWS services and technologies including Vue.js, Python, Django, and S3.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate, mentor, and support team members to resolve complex technical issues.
- Experienced Agile practitioner with a track record of planning and delivering software in iterative environments.
- US Citizens and Green Card holders only.
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with Python/Django web-based applications.
- Experience conducting penetration and load testing on the AWS Cloud.
- Experience in configuring monitoring and alerting in Sentry.
- Knowledge of 508 testing standards and requirements.
- Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
