About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring! Stefanini is looking for a Sr. Project Specialist for Grand Rapids, MI (Hybrid). This role is responsible for the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of major programs and/or projects. The Sr. Project Specialist acts as a change agent to create and support a positive change process. The position involves overseeing medium to large sized, multi-faceted projects varying in complexity and involving cross-functional experts, potentially system-wide. The role drives project progress, manages work plans and scope, assesses resource requirements, and ensures expected business outcomes are achieved. It also involves analyzing and documenting processes for continuous improvement, collaborating with stakeholders and leadership, and mentoring less experienced specialists. The Sr. Project Specialist develops and leads larger teams and advances the knowledge and use of project management. They recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solution of significant issues, developing recommendations for leadership. Competence in all phases of the project with executive-level leadership is expected, along with providing guidance, direction, and training to other Project Specialists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of relevant experience related experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversees medium to large sized, multi-faceted projects varying in complexity and involving cross functional experts.
  • Drives progress of the project including overseeing the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Manages work plan, scope and aids in assessment of resource requirements in order to achieve desired outcomes and directs re-engineering efforts.
  • Ensure that the project is achieving the expected business outcomes.
  • Analyzes and documents, processes, procedures and outcomes to seek continuous improvement.
  • Communicates, collaborates, networks with and acts as a consultant to key stakeholders/business partners / executive level leadership in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services and appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Acts as a mentor to others.
  • Participates on committees/task forces as member, consultant and/or chair.
  • Develops and leads teams which are larger in scope.
  • Acts as a change agent to advance the knowledge and use of project management.
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solution of significant issues and develops recommendation for leadership consideration.
  • Provides guidance, direction and training to less experienced Project Specialists.
