Leidos is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for its Defense Group, which provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide. The Project Management role will work with customers, project managers, internal task or functional staff, and support personnel to execute the AFNCR ITS Program Mission. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate will be accountable for prioritizing, planning, organizing, training, assessing, and managing resources to ensure that projects are executed within scope and time constraints. While part of a team environment, the Lead will also work individually and may assist other team members on moderately complex projects, tasks, or assignments. The candidate will work with the Project Management office on projects and activities, interface with DOD officials to coordinate, schedule, and manage discrete Peer Review projects, and engage with subject matter experts for assignments and monitoring work activities. This role involves leading projects from inception through delivery, coordinating all related functions, tasks, and schedule aspects, and ensuring all related resources across multiple task orders and functional, subcontractor, and related support organizations have defined tasking and meet project timelines. Primary tasks are related to achieving Leidos P&L responsibilities. The role requires coordinating all aspects of project content across various involved functions from initiation through project completion, providing hands-on efforts to characterize project content for input to appropriate organizations, and reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating task output for complete, correct, and compliant project submittals to the customer. The candidate will work with technical/programmatic subject matter experts to characterize project solutions for communication/charts for review and approval for submittal to Leidos customers. Day-to-day tasks require a hands-on, action-oriented individual, training and managing staff to manage workloads, while ensuring compliance with processes and procedures, as well as meeting project deadlines. The role involves managing projects to successful completion, meeting schedule deadlines, service levels, and performance targets, and participating in regular process improvement and quality initiatives, as well as special projects. The AFNCR Program is made up of 3 primary sites: JBA (Primary Site), JBAB, and the Pentagon; potential for occasional travel between the sites.
