About The Position

Landis + Gyr is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sr Project Manager to lead complex, high-visibility projects. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of all stages of the project life cycle, have demonstratable experience executing multiple complex projects within stage gate & agile methodology to ensure that all deliverables are completed and approved by project stakeholders. The Sr Project Manager will be working with cross-functional teams to ensure products are launched on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems Management or related disciplines.
  • 7+ years' experience in Project Management
  • Experience in utility, telecommunications, IT or similarly regulated industries is highly preferred.
  • PMP Certified or similar

  • A deep understanding of the Project Life Cycle.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a global matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing remote teams in different time zones.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support project activities- up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, control, and coordinate the activities of a project team to produce deliverables agreed upon with customer contracts and project plans.
  • Manage the project(s) and execute activities around the boundaries of scope, schedule, risks, and cost.
  • Utilize the PMO's established project delivery procedures and processes to deliver against requirements for contracted projects.
  • Report project status to the PMO and other stakeholders.
  • Work within a stage-gate methodology.
  • Manage external, internal, and capital project costs.
  • Scrum management and metric analysis for Agile projects.
  • Represent the Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both external and internal customers.
  • Demonstrate strong influential leadership of interdepartmental project teams to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage change control & risk management processes. Accept change & identify risks to formulate response to setbacks with minimal disruptions.
  • Manage budget planning, tracking and financial accountability for projects.
  • Negotiate and build positive relationships with key project stakeholders.
  • Primary point of contact for customers, maintaining full responsibility for customer relationships, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
