About The Position

With that in mind, we are embarking on our biggest ever period of transformation - investing time and money to connect consumers, our clients and our partners to each other, and to the elevated experiences they want and expect from us. As part of this, we are establishing a new Transformation team and require a Project Manager to support in the delivery of key initiatives. Initially the plan is for the successful candidate to support the appropriate business area to deliver the transformation project by the target date. The Project Manager will be part of a dynamic resource pool, with the flexibility to be allocated to different projects within the business area. The assigned Project requires a senior leader with exceptional organizational, communication and problem-solving skills to oversee the scoping, planning and execution of this complex, cross-functional initiative. The successful candidate will be output-oriented, rigorous in his/her attention to detail, comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments and able to motivate teams to deliver on time, on budget and to quality standards.

Requirements

  • University educated, with previous experience as a Project Manager (8-10 years minimum)
  • Previous experience of managing projects within: (technology/finance/legal/operations/HR/marketing) organizations - will pick one of the bracket functions depending on the area of search
  • Previous experience of running projects using both Agile and Waterfall methods
  • Previous experience of working successfully with Change Managers
  • Previous experience of delivering both standalone projects and projects that form part of a wider programme

Nice To Haves

  • External certifications in Project Management desirable but not essential (e.g. Prince2 or APM)
  • Experience and understanding of Lean Six Sigma is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

  • Planning and dependencies – work with workstream leads to build a project plan (both detailed and plan on a page) outlining key activities and milestones whilst also identifying and tracking the key internal / external dependencies that inform sequencing and / or timing of the project
  • Resourcing – work with workstream leads to understand resource requirements ensuring relevant stakeholders are aware of demand for each of their teams
  • Delivery – monitor individual workstream performance against the plan, challenge slippage and help define and implement mitigations
  • Risk and issue management – review the risks and issues experienced by the workstream leads and escalate as needed to the Project Sponsor and / or Steering Committee
  • Governance – facilitate relevant governance forums and the distribution and closure of relevant actions and decisions
  • Stakeholder management – Establish strong working relationships with different stakeholder groups (including Senior Leadership, Project Managers, Change Leads, BAU owners, external 3rd parties and Collinson International Ltd leadership team and Board). Confidently navigate stakeholder resistance and find solutions to maintain momentum and drive positive outcomes
  • Team leadership – oversee the work of the Workstream Leads
  • Reporting – collate reports from Workstream Leads to build a view of programme progress (e.g. status against plan & next steps). Consolidate this to report up to the Programme Manager / Project Sponsor / Transformation Management Office (TMO) as applicable
  • PM community and mentorship – be an active member of the PM Community, sharing insights and experience to help raise standards across the organization. Act as a mentor to more junior PMs on other initiatives
