About The Position

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional projects from planning through execution, ensuring work is delivered within approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business value expectations. This role partners closely with business leaders, technology teams, operations, finance/accounting stakeholders, and external vendors to define project plans, manage risks and dependencies, coordinate communication, and drive successful outcomes. Initially, this role will support a project-specific accounting system integration into the company’s ERP environment and provide project management guidance to a new Project Manager supporting the Brand and Marketing team. As business needs evolve, this role may also support broader strategic initiatives across the organization and contribute to more consistent project management processes, documentation, reporting, and governance practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business information systems (IS), computer science, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Seven or more years of progressively responsible project management, technology, business systems, or business operations experience.
  • Five or more years successfully managing complex, cross-functional, or high-risk projects.
  • Experience managing projects involving business stakeholders, technology teams, finance/accounting, operations, and/or external vendors.
  • Experience leading diverse teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or guiding project managers or business stakeholders in project management best practices.
  • Strong project management discipline, including planning, scheduling, risk management, stakeholder communication, documentation, and delivery execution.
  • Strong business, technology, financial, and communication acumen, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable project plans.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, hybrid, PMI, PRINCE2, or similar approaches.
  • Proficiency with project planning, collaboration, and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, influencing, negotiation, and expectation-management skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing business environment while maintaining trust, accountability, and project momentum.

  • MBA, master’s degree, project/program management training, or relevant certifications such as PMP, CSM, SAFe, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects involving business systems, operational processes, finance/accounting workflows, technology teams, and external partners.
  • Support ERP/accounting system integration activities, including project planning, requirements coordination, milestone tracking, testing support, training coordination, go-live readiness, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Develop and maintain project plans that define scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resource needs, roles, responsibilities, and budget considerations.
  • Partner with business leaders, technology teams, operations, finance/accounting stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure project goals are aligned with business objectives and delivery expectations.
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies; recommend mitigation strategies and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams throughout the project lifecycle by clarifying ownership, assigning responsibilities, supporting collaboration, and helping remove barriers to progress.
  • Establish and maintain consistent project documentation, including project charters, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, decision logs, communication plans, and lessons learned.
  • Provide clear and timely project communication, including stakeholder updates, executive-level reporting, meeting facilitation, and follow-up on key decisions or action items.
  • Review and coordinate work plans from external service providers, consultants, or implementation partners to ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, quality, and business needs.
  • Provide project management coaching and guidance to business team members or project managers who are developing formal project management practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project processes, reporting practices, documentation standards, handoffs, ownership clarity, and cross-functional collaboration.
