About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Project Manager in our San Franscisco, CA office. An experienced and autonomous project manager responsible for large, complex, and/or multi-disciplinary projects. Provides leadership to the project team and serves as the primary client contact, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. Functions as a mentor to other PMs and technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• 10+ years professional experience
• 5-8 years of direct project management experience
• PMP certification or equivalent is required or must be obtained within one year of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Leads the project team in executing all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Independently develops and manages project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develops and implements comprehensive Project Management Plans.
• Manages all financial aspects of the project.
• Approves subconsultant and vendor invoices.
• Proactively identifies and manages budget variances and communicates financial performance to senior management.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for the client.
• Leads contract negotiations.
• Represents the firm and client at public hearings and regulatory meetings.
• Leads and directs multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Mentors Project Managers and Associate PMs.
• Identifies new business opportunities and participates in proposals.
