This position is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and you need to be willing to relocate to Puerto Rico or currently live in Puerto Rico to be considered. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience
  • Experience supporting electrical utilities in some capacity
  • Willing to relocate to Puerto Rico or currently live in Puerto Rico

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electrical utility construction projects
  • Experience managing Federally funded projects
  • Ability to coordinate work scope with multiple work groups or contractors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically, apply sound judgement, and proactively prevent and solve problems
  • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills in fast-paced environments internally and externally

Responsibilities

  • Fully own and manage the Overload Poles Workstream, including coordination of Engineering and Construction tasks.
  • Manage the lifecycle of pole overload evaluations.
  • Track all poles submitted for overload review.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to obtain structural calculations, assessment results, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Construction once engineering outputs are issued.
  • Track field activities related to pole modifications or remediation.
  • Update records and logs as activities progress.
  • Maintain a comprehensive overload workstream tracker.
  • Provide biweekly updates summarizing progress, issues, and next steps.
  • Identify delays or gaps in the overload workflow.
  • Escalate issues and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate regularly with Engineering, Construction, and field teams.
  • Support DOE reporting related to overload poles.
