About The Position

NSG Life Safety / Norel Service Company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead fire alarm, integrated security, critical communications, and life safety projects from award through closeout. This role is ideal for a construction, life safety, low-voltage, or electronic security project manager who can manage schedules, budgets, field coordination, customer communication, and successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • 3 to 7+ years of project management experience in fire alarm, life safety, low-voltage electrical, electronic security, critical communications, construction, or related field.
  • Experience managing projects from award through closeout.
  • Strong understanding of construction project workflows, including submittals, RFIs, procurement, scheduling, labor coordination, change orders, testing, inspections, and closeout.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget tracking, cost control, forecasting, billing milestones, and margin protection.
  • Strong organization, communication, customer service, conflict resolution, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to lead field and project teams without formal direct-report authority.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management or construction management tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fire alarm, integrated security, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, emergency communications, sprinklers, or other life safety systems.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Notifier, Simplex, Edwards/EST, Fire-Lite, Potter, Siemens, Honeywell, LenelS2, Genetec, Avigilon, Brivo, Verkada, Axis, Hanwha, or Milestone.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects from award through closeout, including planning, scheduling, execution, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Oversee projects involving fire alarm, integrated security, CCTV, access control, critical communications, life safety systems, and related low-voltage scopes.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, contractors, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, internal teams, and AHJs.
  • Manage project budgets, labor tracking, cost control, forecasting, billing milestones, change orders, and margin performance.
  • Coordinate engineering, submittals, procurement, installation, programming, testing, inspections, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, field supervisors, technicians, programmers, and subcontractors.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes, schedules, and change conditions to identify risks and cost impacts.
  • Support successful inspections, customer acceptance, AHJ sign-offs, and complete closeout documentation.
  • Represent the company professionally with customers, contractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal leadership.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $85,000–$120,000 annually, based on experience, certifications, and qualifications
