GFT is seeking a Sr. Project Manager, Electrical to join our Buildings and Places Business Group. In this role follows a hybrid work model at our Mechanicsburg, PA office. Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years experience in the A/E/C industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent project management experience including a PMP certification
  • Experience with reviewing engineering drawings for constructability and estimating
  • Experience with or willingness to learm Revit MEP, AutoCad
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Project Management of a team of engineers/designers to complete electrical design projects.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines as required for a successful project.
  • Interface with clients and owners.
  • Writing project specifications.
  • Managing project budgets.
  • Meet with clients for the purpose of obtaining future work.
  • Manage design of building and site lighting systems.
  • Manage design of electrical distribution equipment.
  • Manage design of security, communication and life safety system equipment.
  • Assist with the field installation oversight for low voltage design-build automation projects
  • Attend meetings with the project team, including architects and other engineering disciplines.
  • Occasional out of town travel for site survey and meetings will be required.
  • Ensure electrical design complies with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Compile documentation for permit applications and agency review.
  • Perform construction site visits and write field reports.
