Sr Project Leader
About The Position
The Senior Technology Project Leader plans and drives execution of technology and product development projects that deliver value-aligned solutions from concept through manufacturing readiness. The role partners closely with Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget using clear, concise, and effective communication. Senior Technology Project Leaders lead cross-functional project teams, proactively manage risks and issues, and support sound decision-making to enable successful execution while balancing technical requirements, business needs, and resource constraints.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Science, Technology or Mathematics (STEM)
- 5+ years of experience in product development, technology development, or technical project leadership roles required
- Able to travel domestically and internationally based on project needs- up to 25% max
Nice To Haves
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred
- Advanced degree (MS or MBA) preferred
- Experience in manufacturing processes related to passive optical products preferred: Automated and manual assembly; Injection molding; Sheet metal fabrication; Optical fiber termination
- Knowledge of passive telecommunication and data center product design, application, testing and/or industry standards preferred
Responsibilities
- Plans and drives execution of assigned technology projects to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives
- Leads cross-functional core project teams and coordinates contributions across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions
- Develops sufficient understanding of product and process technical designs to identify risks, gaps, or misalignment with customer or market needs
- Communicates project status, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders in both formal and informal settings
- Applies standard project management methods and tools consistently, and ensures project documentation is completed and maintained according to organizational standards
