About The Position

The Senior Program Nutritionist will be responsible for supervising and managing all staff and clinics’ operations, including satellite sites in Atlantic & Cape May Counties. Ensuring accurate completion and timely submission of pertinent reports to the State agency as required such as nutrition education reports, evaluations, etc. maintain adequate inventory for nutrition education materials. Perform the duties and responsibilities of CPA when required. Provide training and education for all staff; oversight, planning, implementation, and evaluation of breastfeeding promotion and support activities at the local agency. Monitors LA breastfeeding rates; Plan and provide lactation staff orientations, reviews and educational/clinical development. Coordinate and maintain all aspects of breast pump rentals and product sales. Develop, monitor, and report lactation process improvement. Plan and implement educational opportunities for staff regarding breastfeeding. This position will also cover WIC clinic coverage as needed. Travel within Gateway CAP service area is required. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Qualified applicants must be a registered Dietitian OR have a Master’s in nutrition/public health with at least two years of supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • RD credentials with a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Spanish/ Vietnamese speaking abilities – highly desirable!
  • Ability to work independently is desirable.
