About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to lead the successful execution of strategic initiatives and complex facility design and construction projects. As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for delivering large-scale facility modernization and expansion projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will lead a cross-functional team, manage profit and loss, and communicate effectively with executive leadership and government customers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or Business.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in project management in the Defense, Construction, or Oil/Gas/Chemical Industry.
  • Able to communicate effectively to upper management and customers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in technical writing, such as proposal, statement of work development, and reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or DAWIA Level III Program Management is preferred.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar performance measurement tools is preferred.
  • Experience in developing Integrated Master schedules with sound logic through tools such as MS Project, Primavera, etc. is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver or exceed commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional project team of project management, engineers, contracting, finance, and operations professionals to deliver large-scale (> $100M) highly complex Capital Investment or Government Funded projects on time, within budget, and to strigent quality standards.
  • Be accountable for the profit and loss of assigned projects, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and that financial targets are met.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings and reports to executive leadership and government customers, providing updates on project status, progress, and issues.
  • Manage sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure that they are meeting project requirements and delivering high-quality products and services.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure that projects are delivered successfully.
