Summary Sr Program Manager leads and manages a functional business unit responsible for the overall program management of multiple, complex weapons, reimbursable product/service programs and Program Management support functions. Manages the cost, scope, and schedule of a program as well as support the technical aspects. Represents the Company to primary stakeholders through the negotiation, management, and delivery of all program requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Scientific, or other related field
  • 9 or more years of experience in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Science
  • 2 years experience in directly managing a team
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with formal program or project process architecture.
  • Site expert knowledge and expertise in project and program management processes, principles, and architecture for multiple key programs with progressive history or responsibility and leadership.
  • Expertise in estimation methods, critical path analysis, and contemporary program management trends and practices.
  • Expertise in linking customers, program, finance, engineering, and operations functions to achieve program viability.
  • Outstanding communication, interactive, presentation, negotiation, and liaison skills.
  • Professional designation in project management, e.g. Project Management Professional (PMP).

Responsibilities

  • Represent Company on comprehensive product/service programs and support functions.
  • Primary company representative to resolve programmatic and customer issues pertinent to program viability.
  • Lead team to negotiate, establish, communicate, and execute cost, scope, schedule delivery and business processes for customer programs.
  • Direct the overall financial planning, monitoring, reporting, scheduling, network analysis, and the preparation and release of technical/schedule information required for program/project planning.
  • Lead and manages programs and related business functions within the company, and with external stakeholders and customers.
  • Direct the establishment of program/project definitions and requirements, maintenance of schedules, and associated program/project baseline changes.
  • Manages and coaches a team of direct report employees.
