About The Position

Virtix Health partners with health plans across the country to drive clinical, financial, and operational results. Virtix Health offers virtual wellness visits, in-home health risk assessments, retrospective chart review, workflow technology and member/patient engagement service offerings for health plans of all sizes. The company supports health plans by creating elevated experiences for their members with the latest technology on an open, connected ecosystem, yielding insights that make a difference for customers and their members. This is a remote position. The Sr Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is a technical resource that serves as a liaison between the business and development team. This person is responsible for planning, managing and executing business analysis activities throughout a project lifecycle. In addition, the Sr BSA manages all internal and client requested enhancements or bug fixes for the suite of Virtix Health chart retrieval and coding applications. The role will interface with internal stakeholders as well as clients to gather requirements and translate them into design specification and/or ticket instructions to the technical team. The Sr BSA must acquire a deep understanding of all core Virtix Health applications. Virtix Health uses various applications to manage all enhancement requests or defect fixes that will be assigned to the Technology team; and must be familiar with the Agile development process with rapid development Sprints. The SR Business Systems reports to the VP Product Management. The SR BSA must abide with HIPAA regulations pertaining to safeguarding and protecting patient’s right to privacy in handling all medical chart records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and translating business needs into technology solutions.
  • Proven experience facilitating stakeholder discovery sessions and eliciting both stated and underlying business requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain business requirements documentation, including BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, workflow diagrams, and functional requirements.
  • Experience serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful solution design and delivery.
  • Strong documentation skills with experience maintaining requirements and project artifacts in Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to create wireframes, mockups, or process designs using tools such as Figma, Visio, PowerPoint, or similar applications to support requirements definition and solution development.
  • Experience documenting data integrations, system interfaces, data flows, and field-level mapping between applications.
  • Working knowledge of flat-file data formats, including CSV, TXT, and Excel, with the ability to define layouts, validation rules, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience developing test cases, executing testing activities, analyzing results, and documenting defects or issues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to interpret findings and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated consultative and relationship-building skills, including questioning, negotiation, facilitation, and active listening.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization without direct authority.
  • Experience validating data, identifying data quality or integrity issues, and supporting reporting and analytics initiatives.
  • Good understanding of business processes, technology solutions, and performance metrics.
  • Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
  • Employees must reside and perform all work within the continental United States for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with API-based integrations and data exchange concepts.
  • Experience using SQL for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Product Owner or Product Management experience supporting proprietary software applications and managing enhancement backlogs.
  • Experience within healthcare technology, healthcare operations, revenue cycle management, or healthcare interoperability environments.
  • Exposure to FHIR APIs, healthcare data standards, and interoperability frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Work across leadership and technical teams to own, develop, and maintain the technical roadmap
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key clients and internal Technology partners
  • Gather business requirements and effectively translate them into technical instructions for the Technology team
  • Create and maintain system and user documentation
  • Communicate the status of enhancement requests and/or defect fixes with internal and external (client) stakeholders
  • Work with the Technology team to establish and manage each deployment (Sprint)
  • Perform Unit and Integrated Testing for each enhancement or defect fix
  • Create clear, repeatable Regression Test scripts
  • Lead processes for testing systems to determine efficiency and effectiveness
  • Demonstrate product and service offerings for customers and end users
  • Assist in setup and maintenance of new application users
  • Maintain a high level of engagement in a video-first culture, collaborating effectively with stakeholders and team members through Microsoft Teams.
