Sr. Product Manager
About The Position
AKASA is seeking a Sr. Product Manager to own one of their flagship products within the Clinical Documentation and Medical Coding suite. This suite aims to enhance physician documentation quality, assist clinicians in identifying missing diagnoses, convert documentation to medical codes, and ensure financial integrity for health systems. The role involves working with a dedicated engineering and ML team on AI-native products that deliver significant value to customers. The Product Manager will collaborate across various functions including engineering, machine learning, design, finance, and go-to-market teams. Key partners include Customer Design Partners from prominent health systems, an internal Engineering & ML team focused on training net-new models, and Internal Domain SMEs who are industry experts. This is an opportunity to shape how AI transforms healthcare operations and build products that improve the capture of the complete patient clinical journey.
Requirements
- Strong educational attainments through the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Ability to operate in highly complex and ambiguous business environments.
- 5+ years of product management experience in software enterprises or startups.
- Effective verbal and written communication for internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities
- Generate ideas for new products or strategic features for existing products by collaborating with customers, prospects, marketing, and industry experts.
- Evaluate and recommend new product ideas based on attractiveness (economics, feasibility, etc.).
- Develop deep knowledge in product areas through expert interviews and research.
- Develop roadmaps, product requirement documents, and plans to align resources and act on new product ideas.
- Lead R&D resources to execute on new product ideas, working closely with engineering leaders.
- Provide product leadership to implementation teams.
- Own the performance of products in the market, working closely with supporting cross-functional teams.
- Develop supporting product materials in collaboration with internal teams like marketing and implementation.
- Prepare impactful presentations for internal and external communications.
- Interact frequently with Executive and Functional leaders in strategizing and executing on product initiatives.
- Present to, converse with, and learn from prospects and customers.
