They will have a strong knowledge and focus on our end-user applications and services.  The Technical Product Analyst will work closely with the End User Computing product managers and product analysts to drive out the product features and capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology individual to help shape the transformation of infrastructure and operations products and services to the entire McDonalds environment.

Requirements

  • Experience owning platform or shared-service capabilities as a product responsibility.
  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to reason about APIs, data models, workflows, and system boundaries.
  • Proven ability to define product direction in complex, multi-consumer environments.
  • Comfort making tradeoffs between speed, reuse, scalability, and long-term platform health.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate platform decisions and rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a technical product manager for backend platforms, shared services, or infrastructure-adjacent products.
  • Experience previously in architecture or as a TL.
  • Background partnering closely with architects and senior engineers on system design decisions.
  • Experience supporting multiple consuming teams or products with competing needs.
  • Familiarity with high-scale, high-availability systems where platform quality directly impacts business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the platform capability strategy for Commerce backend services across Menu, Ordering, Orchestration, and Nutrition.
  • Define what capabilities the platform must provide to enable current and future consumers, including internal applications, partner systems, and downstream services.
  • Translate business goals and consumer needs into clear platform requirements, including APIs & contracts requirements, workflows, and system behaviors.
  • Establish and evolve platform standards to ensure consistency, reuse, scalability, and long-term maintainability across services.
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership and architecture to shape platform evolution while remaining accountable for product-level decisions, not implementation details.
  • Balance near-term enablement needs with long-term platform health, avoiding short-term solutions that create systemic drag.
  • Represent platform capability priorities and tradeoffs in cross-team planning, major initiatives, and leadership forums.
  • Ensure platform changes are intentional, coherent, and aligned to a clear long-term vision.
