Sr. Product Manager (Oil & Gas)

Zeitview•Houston, TX
•$160,000 - $180,000

About The Position

Zeitview is hiring a Senior Product Manager to serve as the customer and industry expert for its Oil & Gas vertical. The role owns problem definition: understanding enterprise customers’ needs, the reasons behind them, and their business value. The Product Manager conducts discovery, builds customer relationships alongside Sales, synthesizes market signals and competitive intelligence, and turns findings into clear, prioritized requirements for platform product managers and engineering teams. The role also defines metrics to demonstrate product and strategy success, develops business cases and go-to-market approaches for expanding offerings, and focuses on growth. It owns the “what” and “why,” working with solutions-side product managers to negotiate the “how” and “when,” rather than owning a backlog or shipping software directly. In the first six months, the role will define vertical success measures tied to revenue, retention, and customer outcomes; embed with three to five strategic Oil & Gas accounts to understand their inspection workflows, pain points, and decision-making; conduct structured discovery using customer interviews, operational ride-alongs, competitive analysis, and usage data; prioritize problems; and advocate for engineering capacity with platform product managers using data and customer evidence. The role will create requirements that are sufficiently specific for engineering while remaining useful across the platform, and build internal credibility as Zeitview’s Oil & Gas expert. This is a customer-facing, cross-functional individual contributor role. It includes regular enterprise customer calls and travel to customer sites and inspection locations. It is not a platform backlog ownership or day-to-day software delivery role, a strategy role without customer contact, or a people-management role. Zeitview describes itself as a mission-driven intelligent aerial imaging company serving high-value infrastructure customers in more than 70 countries, with a mission to accelerate the global transition to renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure through advanced inspection solutions.
