About The Position

The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for the end-to-end performance of our fiber cement ColorPlus portfolio, with full accountability for product strategy, lifecycle management, and financial results. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Product Management, this role owns the development and execution of a multi-generational product roadmap that drives profitable growth, margin expansion, and long-term competitive advantage. This position serves as the subject matter expert for the assigned product portfolio and acts as the primary integrator across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, R&D, Sourcing, Finance, and external partners. The Sr. Product Manager balances strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring that products deliver compelling customer value while meeting business performance objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Product Design, or a related field required.
  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in Product Management, Product Development, Engineering, or closely related roles
  • demonstrated ownership of a sizeable product portfolio with full P&L responsibility
  • experience operating in a complex manufacturing and supply-chain environment
  • durable goods or building products experience strongly preferred
  • proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority
  • experience managing or leading others strongly preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with a bias for execution and results
  • advanced financial and analytical acumen, including pricing, cost management, and profitability analysis
  • excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product and business strategy for the assigned portfolio, including a multi-year, multi-generation product roadmap aligned to customer needs and enterprise growth objectives.
  • Lead commercial prioritization of innovation, line extensions, and rationalization initiatives to optimize portfolio complexity, profitability, and capacity utilization.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and market, incorporating end-user, channel, and competitive insights into strategic decisions.
  • Own P&L performance for the assigned product portfolio, including revenue growth, gross margin, pricing, cost management, and investment trade-offs.
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc analysis of product performance (sales trends, customer and regional mix, margin, and key operational metrics) and lead monthly business reviews.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to develop forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans; proactively identify risks and opportunities and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead cross-functional execution across all phases of the product lifecycle, including concept development, business case creation, design/engineering, validation and testing, launch, sustainment, and end-of-life management.
  • Drive disciplined project management for major initiatives, ensuring scope, timing, cost, and performance commitments are met.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sourcing to ensure scalable, cost-effective, and reliable supply while supporting continuous improvement and margin expansion.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product Marketing, and Channel partners to define value propositions, pricing architecture, promotions, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure accurate, compelling, and consistent product positioning across all customer-facing materials, tools, and training.
  • Provide technical, commercial, and strategic guidance to Sales, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and influence external partners, suppliers, and service providers involved in product development, manufacturing, testing, or commercialization.
  • Conduct regular business and project reviews with partners to ensure performance, quality, innovation, and alignment with business objectives.
  • (As applicable) Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports and/or extended project teams, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
