Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business and Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • One (1) year experience as a design engineer, engineer consultant, or closely related technology or engineering occupation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products (GPUs, CPUs, and/or SoCs).
  • Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life.
  • Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, and quality as the product(s) move to production and distribution.
  • Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.
  • Review design prints and documentation to ensure compliance with design criteria, industry standards, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by facilitating problem solving discussions across Design, Manufacturing, Test, and Quality Engineering teams.
  • Participate in Development Review Meetings and Golden Sample Reviews, gaining technical insights and contributing to the DFM (Design for Manufacturing) process.
  • Under supervision, exercise limited judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.
