About The Position

The Senior Producer serves as the primary production lead during the execution of marketing production campaigns, acting as the liaison between internal creative teams, commercial production companies, and show production. As the on-set production supervisor, the Senior Producer oversees both the budgetary and operational needs of each shoot while managing communications and relationships with cross-functional network stakeholders, talent, vendors, and clients.

Requirements

  • College degree required.
  • Minimum five years of experience as a line producer, agency producer, or in a similar role, with responsibility for managing project budgets exceeding $200K.
  • Working knowledge of shoot budgeting using AICP and standard commercial production formats.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of on-set production rules, requirements, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IATSE, SAG-AFTRA, and DGA contracts, rules, and requirements.
  • Experience working with celebrity and non-celebrity talent, as well as talent agents, managers, and publicists.
  • Knowledge of leading-edge video production technologies, including current camera systems, equipment, technical specifications, and post-production workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Airtable, and production budgeting software.
  • Prior experience at an advertising agency, production company, television network, or streaming platform.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work overtime and/or on weekends, as necessary, with short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Universal Television Entertainment networks, as well as other NBCUniversal business divisions, to assess and define production requirements in support of creative initiatives on a project-by-project basis.
  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end production process for medium- to high-priority promotional shoots across video, digital, social, and photography, including, but not limited to, pre-production planning, technical scouts, legal, talent, EHS clearances, on-set execution, and final asset delivery to post-production.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among internal creative teams, production companies, studio and show production teams, press, talent, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project coordination and execution on time and within budget.
  • Source, engage, and manage production companies, production service providers, directors, and photographers as needed.
  • Review, negotiate, and approve proposals and budgets submitted by commercial and service production partners.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of production-related legal requirements and partner with legal counsel to draft, review, execute, and ensure compliance with contracts and agreements.
  • Partner with EHS to ensure all productions adhere to NBCUniversal’s health, safety, and compliance protocols.
  • Mentor and develop associate producers and production coordinators, providing guidance on both the technical and interpersonal aspects of production management.
  • Provide strategic guidance and operational support to associate producers managing embedded crew productions and other small-scale assignments.
  • Support producers and executive producers across all projects, including the organization, completion, and filing of production documentation for tent-pole promotional and marketing shoots, such as PSAs, statements of work, talent releases, EHS documentation, and related materials.
  • Manage vendor onboarding processes and oversee payroll administration for external production resources and service providers.
  • Coordinate with post-production operations teams to ensure the timely and accurate ingest and delivery of all production assets to designated stakeholders.
  • Lead and contribute to special projects as assigned.
  • Provide additional production support across a variety of promotional shoot initiatives as required.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and responsiveness while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
