About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will manage the purchasing of ingredients with a focus on texturants and components, balancing price, quality, logistics, reliability, and supply continuity. You will lead sourcing strategy development, supplier management, contract execution, and data stewardship while partnering cross-functionally to identify value opportunities, improve processes, and maintain strong supplier relationships that support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; professional certification preferred
  • 5 or more years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, commodity management, or finance
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of market economics, cost structures, and value analysis to support data-driven sourcing decisions
  • Experience negotiating commercial terms and supporting contract development and execution
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP and Power BI preferred
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong supplier and cross-functional relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies for assigned ingredient spend in alignment with approved procurement programs
  • Plan and organize activities related to managed categories, ensuring alignment with business priorities and supply strategies
  • Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, pricing, and specification compliance
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement activities from intent to purchase through delivery of materials
  • Lead negotiations for complex materials and services, driving favorable commercial outcomes
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, innovation, and cost competitiveness
  • Resolve supply, pricing, contract, and supplier performance issues with urgency and sound judgment
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify cost savings, value creation, and risk mitigation opportunities
  • Maintain accurate master data and provide transactional and reporting support as needed
  • Support and champion change management initiatives, including integrating demand-driven principles within procurement
  • Review and resolve vendor claims and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Arrange buy-backs or disposition strategies for surplus materials when applicable
  • Use analytics tools, including Excel and Power BI, to monitor performance, support decision-making, and communicate insights
