The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Senior Principal Computer Systems Analyst (Windows and VMWare Sys Admin) to support information system lifecycle activities for the CIDO. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Linthicum, MD location. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform as a Senior Computer Systems Analyst in support of classified government contracts Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format. Establishes and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies. Report task statuses as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts in written and oral format. Oversee and lead the reliable operations of multi-user computer systems working with system engineers, PC desktop technicians, networking engineers, project managers, end users, and IT/Cyber management. Analyze and make recommendations to internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems. Recommend and implement system enhancements, to include automation, that will improve the performance of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management. Ensure compliant and reliable backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space; manage virus protection on a routine basis. Test and oversee new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact. Lead the development and documentation of technical processes and procedures. Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions. Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases and report security relevant statuses accordingly. Ensure accurate security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). Work across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systematic problems. Mentorship of junior professionals to grow and develop technical talent Lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work after hours, and weekends, as needed.
