About The Position

At Northrop Grumman, we are seeking a Sr. Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist to join our Subcontract Services (SCS) team. This role is based in Linthicum, Maryland, or Rolling Meadows, Illinois. The SCS team is responsible for ensuring all agreements, terms, and conditions are negotiated, documented, and governed in alignment with corporate strategy, risk exposure, and regulatory requirements. We drive excellence in negotiations, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to achieve value, compliance, and strong operational performance. Our specialization includes Contract Development & Negotiation, Supplier Relationship & Performance Management, Risk & Compliance Assessment Management, Procurement life cycle data, processes & Reporting Management, and Governance & Strategic Initiative Development and Implementation. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Law Department, Programs, Contracts, Supply Chain, and Engineering to build strong business relationships with our supply base. This position requires the ability to balance competing priorities, a strong commitment, and a collaborative approach. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, along with project management, analytical, planning, presentation, and human relations skills are essential. Candidates should have experience in multi-tasking, captures, proposals, and/or program execution, with a strong understanding of the Government Acquisition Cycle and the Business Acquisition Process.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in supply chain, contracts, law, or a related field, or a Masters with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in supply chain, contracts, law, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of demonstrable experience in terms and conditions exhibited through a lead role in negotiations or contract drafting.
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS
  • U.S Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in law either as a J.D. or Paralegal
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in procurement and specifically commerciality
