Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Sr Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (level 4) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals at our San Diego, CA location supporting the F-22 CNI Programs. This position will require you to be onsite fulltime. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program/Project Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field. We will consider 12 yrs of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
  • Experience with cost, schedule, variance reporting
  • Experience with Supply Chain metrics, and driving performance to targets
  • Experience with Excel
  • Knowledge/experience in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • US Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Control Account Manager (CAM) experience and certification
  • Experience with Federal and Defense Contracting requirements including FAR/DFARS
  • Demonstrated ability to influence team members, interact with peers and all levels of management in the organization

Responsibilities

  • Develop supply chain strategy and lead activities for GSC in all phases of planning and execution
  • Manage suppliers on cost, schedule, quality, and performance
  • Assess material shortages, flag time-critical purchases, and drive acceleration
  • Manage, report, and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s)
  • Managing the material budget for contract requirements while supporting baseline/EVMS requirements
  • Maintain delivery performance metrics
  • Coordinate cross-functionally, directs communication, coordinates with Suppliers, and integrates efforts across all GSC functions
  • Align project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical community
  • Brief the GSCPM, Program Management, and Operations on the status, Risk & Opportunities, and issues affecting GSC program performance
