Sr. Principal Software Product Owner (GUI) (Onsite)
About The Position
Collins Aerospace's Strategic Solutions team is looking for an exceptionally motivated Engineer that is passionate about collaborating with High-Performance Teams to create mission critical solutions supporting Integrated Mission Systems. Our Sr. Principal Software Product Owner works in an exciting, adaptive, and engaging environment enabling rapid learning to drive success. The candidate will serve as Product Owner for our Graphical User Interface (GUI) domain focused. This position will support the shaping of the future of defense systems for the armed forces. This position is located onsite in Richardson, TX. Sign-on Bonus Eligible.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Previous experience as a Product Owner following Agile / Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Previous experience with user interface development and GUI frameworks.
- Previous experience with microservice architectures and software development.
Nice To Haves
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Experience with Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Experience with UML, SysML, MBSE and CAMEO Modeling tools.
- Experience with Jira.
Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of predictable execution intertwined with fun and collaboration where the success of the entire program team is the number one priority.
- Act as the Product Owner (PO) for the GUI team focused on requirements decomposition, Cameo modeling, software development and troubleshooting within a DevSecOps Pipeline in a Cloud environment.
- Work directly with the Chief Engineer, User Experience (UX) Engineer, Scrum Masters, and Software Engineers performing software development work for Mission Systems applications.
- Interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on an extremely large program across multiple locations.
- Mentor Interns, Junior, Senior and Principal engineers.
