About The Position

Raytheon's RF & Microelectronics Center is responsible for full-scope Independent Design, Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for microwave products, including architecture trades, design, layout, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of antenna systems and associated integrated system verification solutions. Our charter is to provide expertise in sub-systems engineering, RF and radome design, digital apertures, antenna ranges and module test. Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience to include the following:
At least 3 years of cross-functional team leadership experience
Experience with design, layout, integration, or test of microwave frequency transmit/receive functions.
Experience with engineering RF requirements development and verification.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience presenting technical information to upper-level management and internal customers.
Experience with PWB and CCA processes for hybrid designs incorporating digital, power, and RF circuitry including chip and wire technology.
Experience interfacing with engineering technicians and production personnel.
Active antenna test experience including near field and far field testing.
Experience with root cause corrective action (RCCA) process and tools.
Experience with data analysis using MATLAB
MS in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics is a PLUS.
Earned value certification and BOE writer experience are desired.

Responsibilities

Lead a large cross-functional team as an execution chief engineer on a large sensor program as it completes design verification testing, qualification, and transition to production.
Oversee the design, development, and sustainment of state-of-the-art Transmit/Receive (T/R) microwave products (i.e. modules, TRIMMs, planar arrays, etc).
Implement best practice standards regarding the planning, coordination, and implementation of microwave design and test with sound engineering process discipline and leadership.
Interface with factory, program, and customer personnel to implement design improvements and process/quality monitoring methods.
Support factory troubleshooting, analyze product defect trends, and implement process/product improvements in alignment with factory and program production needs.
