Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Project Manager. This position is located in Merritt Island, FL and supports the Launcher Operating Unit. This individual will assist in the definition, planning, organizing, directing and controlling risk and opportunity management efforts. This position manages the risk process and is not a people manager position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years, or master’s and 6 years’ of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with multiple functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, etc.) to identify and mitigate risks at early stages.
  • Experience using RIO (Risk in Opportunity) frameworks.
  • Experience Running reviews and keeping risk data current, accurate and decision ready.
  • Experience using advance Microsoft Office Applications (Excel Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and analyzing large data sets).
  • Experience articulating and presenting risk management concepts.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year experience using risk management tools and dashboards (or similar systems).
  • Active U.S. Government Secret level security clearance.
  • Experience with program integration and risk management.
  • Experience presenting to upper-level management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team and line management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
